Led by Executive Head Chef David Friel and his team of skilled chefs, The Grill Room at the Square is an award-winning steakhouse dedicated to serving up a sublime selection of locally sourced Grade A Scotch Beef dishes to around 1200 covers per week.

The menu reflects an exceptional selection of steaks sourced locally,
as well as a variety of immaculately prepared modern Scottish classics. Prime steaks are dry-aged for tenderness and flavour. The Grill Room at the Square’s signature Porterhouse and T-Bone steaks are hung for 35 days in-house and each selection of meat is expertly hand-cut on the premises daily.

helps to make the dining experience unforgettable; bread is baked fresh on the premises and carved by your server at your table, whilst the choice of beef is displayed in a chilled glass cabinet next to the exposed pass, which gives an exciting glimpse into the kitchen.

Since opening its doors in 2007, The Grill Room at the Square has received many accolades including: the Daily Record’s Hot Plate Award, Restaurant Magazine’s Best Steak & Chips award and the 2009 - 2010 Open Table Diners Award for Restaurant Of The Year. It has also maintained its Visit Scotland Eat Silver award for four consecutive years. Most recently The Grill Room at the Square was awarded the Best Customer Service award, sponsored by BII Scotland, at the 2012 DRAM Scottish Licensed Trade Awards.
